By car Chepelare is about two and a half hours drive time from Sofia. The distance between the two cities is 214 kilometers (133 miles).

The beautiful Rhodope municipality is located in Smolyan district, on the main national road II-86 Plovdiv - Smolyan, about 75 km south of Plovdiv. Plovdiv Airport is one of the four major airports in Bulgaria, which is a gateway for our foreign tourists. The road by car from Plovdiv to Chepelare is nearly an hour and a half at medium speed.

 There are regular bus connections with Sofia, Plovdiv, Smolyan,  and others  settlements /as the  largest Bulgarian summer resort Sunny Beach/.
