VILLAGE OF PROGLED
Village of Progled

The village is reached from the intersection of the main road Chepelare - Pamporovo - Smolyan, where there is a small parking lot, and above it is the remarkable granite Monument to Colonel Dicho Petrov. The deviation in the eastern direction leads along a steep road up to the village of Progled, located at about 1370 m above sea level. The village is 4 km from the Pamporovo resort. Progled is a small resort village with traditions in serving tourists, suitable for both summer and winter recreation. Due to its proximity to the winter centers Pamporovo and Mechi Chal, the village is known to ski lovers as a suitable alternative for accommodation.
The area "Kutsinsko Blato" above Progled has been declared a natural landmark and is one of the rare places on the Balkan Peninsula, where from mid-June to early July you can see the beautiful Rhodope cream blooming. This is an extremely beautiful bright yellow flower, included in the “Red Book” of rare and endangered species of Bulgaria as an extremely rare plant in need of protection.
There is a tradition every year, on the first Saturday of July, to organize a village fair. It is held on the playground, which is located about 20 minutes up the slope after the village. We have taken care of the convenience and comfort of the attendees and guests, there are wooden tables and benches made under the tall pine trees around the large meadow. There is also a stage, of course.
The village of Progled offers cozy accommodations and authentic Rhodope cuisine!
