Memorial to Chepelare’s war dead
The citizens of Chepelare have commemorated the soldiers who died for the Fatherland with a small copy of the Shipka Monument. It stands out on a hill across the river in the center of the town.
Captain Petko Voyvoda Monument
There is another national hero who lives in the hearts of the people of Chepelare - Captain Petko Voyvoda; in the troubled years after the Liberation of Bulgaria from the Ottoman Empire he was the defender of the Bulgarian national sentiment in the Rhodope Mountains. The monument, located in the center of the resort, is also one of the most beautiful monuments dedicated to the legendary revolutionary.
