Village of Hvoyna

Nestled in the picturesque embrace of the Middle Rhodopes, the village of Hvoyna is a place where time moves slowly, the air smells of pine and the silence tells stories. Just a few kilometers from Chepelare, Hvoyna is the perfect destination for anyone looking for a vacation amidst nature, traditions and Rhodopean hospitality.

Hvoyna is the closest settlement to road II-86 – on the left is the Bus Station, and on the right is the turnoff that enters the village. From there, you can start a journey in the area along various tourist  paths that lead to mountain huts or other villages in the arеа. The village has hotel facilities – houses and guest rooms, as well as restaurants.Most of the categorized sites are owned by local families, who offer accommodation, food and good mood with authentic Rhodope music. The village is proud of its preserved church “St. Elijah” from 1857.In the center there is a well-maintained park area with a large fountain and several spouts from which, even in the hottest weather, a torrential stream of mountain water gushes out - this was probably the spring that attracted its first inhabitants to this place...

Hvoyna is the starting point of a 200-km trans-border Eco-ROUTE, passing along the Chernatitsa ridge. It climbs at the beginning to the Srednite Livadi Nature Reserve, descends to the village of Orehovo, and continues to the Kosten Kamak canyon, the fault under Tsirikova Church peak,the area "Sunny Polyani", "Wonder Bridges", "Persenk" peak and south along the ridge of the "Chernatitsa" ridge through Pamporovo, Smolyan, several villages in the upper reaches of the Arda River, to reach the Elidje pass above Rudozem.
