House "Persena" is located in the picturesque Rhodope village of Orehovo, 1000 m above sea level, on the banks of the Oreshitsa River in the Ropkata area, 60 km from Plovdiv and 20 km from Chepelare. Starting point for the Chernatitsa ridge and the Persenk peak - 2191 m.
The house has three rooms, each with its own bathroom, TV and internet, with a capacity of up to 8-9 people and a fully equipped kitchen. Guests have access to a barbecue, an outdoor shed, which is heated with a fireplace in winter, and a wonderful view of the pine forest.
We offer delicious Rhodope specialties, guided hikes and walks in the mountains, as well as a folklore program with Rhodope songs and bagpipes.
The longest eco-trail passes through the village, which starts from the village of Hvoyna and reaches Greece. In the vicinity of the village there are several waterfalls, including: Duplevo, Skakaloto, Kostenski waterfalls, over 30 chapels, Thracian sanctuaries and a Roman road.
There are many caves, including: The Human Cave, in which its inhabitants were burned by the Ottomans, Imam Kaya, Modarski Caves, etc.
We also offer mountain routes to Persenk hut (3 hrs.), Kabata hut (3 hrs.), Chudnite mostove, Slivodolsko praskalo, Bachkovski monastery and many others. There is a horse riding facility nearby, as well as a ski center in winter - Mechi Chal and Pamporovo.
