March 3rd marks 148 years since the Liberation of Bulgaria from
Ottoman rule!
The Municipality of Chepelare will celebrate the national holiday of the Republic of Bulgaria with a special patriotic program, the highlight of which is the traditional hike to the emblematic peak of Mechi Chal.
The festive program began at 8:00 a.m. at Olympic Square,
where the assembly point will be.
From there, a procession will begin to the Monument to the People of Chepelare who Died in the Wars, where speeches will be delivered in gratitude to those who died for the freedom of Bulgaria.
After the solemn ceremony, the traditional patriotic march to Mechi Chal peak will begin.
