Chepelare is moving to Beijing for the Winter Olympics, which open on February 4. Snowboarder Radoslav Yankov, who has already left, will be the flag bearer of Bulgarian athletes. This is the second Olympics at which he will fly our national flag, after doing so at the opening of the Olympics in South Korea in 2018.
In the first Olympic Games hosted by China, the municipality sent biathletes Dimitar Gerdjikov and Anton Sinapov as competitors. The Olympic attache and the emblem of Chepelare, Ekaterina Dafovska, will also be in Beijing. The municipality sent another person as a participant in the preparation of the tracks - Alexander Georgov, and Lilia Pandurova is the head of the mission.
At the official invitation of the Bulgarian Olympic Committee, our delegation also includes the Mayor of the Municipality Boran Hadjiev, as one of the two official guests along with the Minister of Youth and Sports Radostin Vassilev.
In an interview with Radio Plovdiv, Boran Hadjiev said that days before his departure he hoped to have negative AKP tests. And the boys from the municipality to present themselves with dignity. What is missing in Chepelare to have world conditions for training winter athletes?
