On June 19, 2026 (Friday) at 3:00 p.m. at the Perelik Hotel, Pamporovo Resort, Chepelare Municipality, the Fifth National Conference on Health Tourism on the topic "Challenges for Climatic Resorts" will be held, announced the Bulgarian Union of Balneology and SPA Tourism. The event is organized by the Municipality of Chepelare, the Bulgarian Union of Balneology and SPA Tourism and Pamporovo AD, with the support of the European SPA Association (ESPA). The official opening will be made by the Minister of Tourism of the Republic of Bulgaria, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ilin Dimitrov.
The main goal of the conference is to outline the key challenges facing climate health resorts and propose effective solutions for their sustainable development. The forum will bring together representatives of government institutions, experts and investors in the field of health tourism, medical specialists, representatives of academia, as well as managers of SPA and wellness hotels.
Participants are expected to discuss current topics related to the development of climate-health destinations, improving the quality of tourist services and establishing Bulgaria as a competitive destination for health tourism.
